Mission Statement :

  Decisions regarding the care of your children are among the most important that you will ever make.  We at Little House Academy are not a daycare or baby sitting service; we are an educational preschool academy.  Our program is based on enhancing each child’s self-esteem, self-help skills, teaching responsibilities, fostering creativity and to make learning fun!  We offer Spanish, Japanese and Music in every classroom.  Our  Four Year Old ABEKA program is a God-given ministry to lead young people to Christ and train them in Christian character, language and traditional subject matter.  We will be using the ABC-123 which sharpens phonics, counting, number-writing, recognizing sound, vowel formations and blends. Our Readiness Skills will develop writing readiness, eye-coordination, visual perception and listening and thinking skills.   ABEKA Language Development will teach us about God’s Creation and the people and world around us and Everyday Bible curriculum.   We offer full time, drop-in, and summer camp programs for children from Infants to School Age.  Our staff is loving, caring and nurturing people who view their work as a reward, not a job but -people who care for each child as if they were their own.

is to provide a home-like environment to all children of working parents during working hours, thereby partnering in the parenting process.

 We want all children to feel as if Little House Academy is their home away from home.  We provide a safe, nurturing, clean, healthy, caring and family-style environment, which promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of young children. 

Our Philosophy:

Every child is a unique individual who learns in a different way and at a different rate.  Little House Academy ’s program is designed to match the needs of all children and provide a stimulating, yet challenging learning environment.   

While children learn through play, whether it is child-initiated, child-directed or teacher supported play.  Children’s play is an important function in children’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.

Our daily age appropriate curriculum includes reading, math, science, art, music, dramatic play, writing, manipulative play and outdoor experiences.   

Our Goals:       

The goal of Little House Academy is to be the best childcare/preschool in the Henry county area.  Our aim to accomplish this goal is to:

1. Make each child understand about themselves, others and the world around them so that they may develop to their highest potential.
2. Make each child feel loved, accepted, respected and valued.
3. Teach each child to be responsible for their own behavior and actions.  Teach self-control.
4. To provide support, attention and encouragement to each child, in order to develop self confidence.   
5. Encourage creativity by allowing children to express themselves in many different ways. 
6. Establishing and maintaining family relationships by encouraging parent involvement through parent meetings, open-house and teacher-conferences etc.

Parents are a child’s first teachers.  Childcare providers build upon the foundation laid by the parents.  Teachers take the children and expand their minds by offering learning experiences in a loving, nurturing environment that challenges them to grow.
